Goo Pa Kong-Kong is an eerie man. No one knows what he carries in the strange bag on his shoulders, but it is rumored that he tortures naughty children. He lives alone in Ñetty Mbar, a desolate, gloomy market on the outskirts of Dakar. Not a place for children, but that doesn’t stop Binta, a curious and brave girl who has just drawn the white marble that makes her the leader of her gang of children. She decides to confront Pa Kong-Kong on his turf. She is afraid, but she is determined to prove that girls can be leaders. So she sets off. It is pitch dark in the market. What will she discover?

is a screenwriter and director who studied in the Arts and Culture Department at the Gaston Berger University in Saint-Louis, Senegal. She participated in the summer university of the film school La Fémis in Paris, the Fidadoc Residency in Morocco and the Rencontres Internationales du Cinéma du Réel in Senegal. Her films have been shown at the film festivals of Poitiers, Bilbao and Saint-Louis, among others.
