The artists ASTAN KA & EXOCÉ EXISTE have been developing a joint project since they met at the Afropollination Residency in Kampala last September and performed at Nyege Nyege Festival 2022, CTM Festival 2023 and Fusion Festival 2023. They will be accompanied by saxophonist DARIUS MICK. Unfortunately, the initially announced artist Binghi cannot be present.

ASTAN KA

Berlin-based performer ASTAN KA works experimentally and explores different genres such as jazz, rap, trip-hop or ethno/afro-electronic sounds. She describes the musical universe she has developed as “gangsta jazz”.

EXOCÉ EXISTE

is a multidisciplinary Afrocentric artist, performer and dancer. He mostly performs alone, improvising and creating stories while transmitting a language for other artists. His dance style can be described as experimental storytelling.

RAFUSH

is a DJ, presenter and graphic artist living in Berlin.
Rafa Cunha claims her place in the club scene. She is the co-founder of YOKO YOKO, an Afro-futurist multidisciplinary collective that curates events focusing on Africa, Afro-diaspora and club culture.
