Rayann, 32, is a specialist in tropical plants and a respected scientist. But he loses his family in a terrorist attack. Since then, Rayann has lived in seclusion from the world, until one day he is taken hostage in his home by terrorists who are being pursued by the gendarmerie. In order to survive, he decides to use his knowledge of plants to get rid of his tormentors.

FLORIANE ZOUNDI was born in Burkina Faso in 1986. She is a graduate of the Film School of Burkina Faso (ISIS). She was cinematographer for the short film LA BAGUE and for two feature films. She first made school films and then her first short film LE BOTANISTE in 2022, which was selected at FESPACO 2023. In 2022, she also directed a documentary film as part of the Grand Voyage avec l’Afrique project entitled THE HEART WAY. This film was shown at the Nara International Film Festival in Japan. She has co-written scripts for television series such as AMAZONE and ZIKSTAR and has participated in numerous training workshops at the Imagine Institute in Burkina Faso, Senegal and Ghana.
